Municipalities as the Poor Relatives of the State

The mayor expresses his disappointment with the treatment of municipalities by the central government, describing them as “poor relatives.” He believes that Local Government does not receive the necessary support to function effectively and contribute to development. The Municipality's budget for 2026, amounting to 27 million euros, is described as developmental, but not to the extent the mayor would like. Emphasis is placed on project maturation and strategic planning, with collaborations with universities. The mayor stresses that the lack of ideas is not the problem, but the lack of maturity in the projects of the other municipal districts. The balanced budget, with a surplus of almost half a million euros, was achieved after successive meetings and adjustments.
