Five Arrests Made in Pan-Cypriot Police Operations Overnight

The Cyprus Police conducted pan-Cypriot targeted operations overnight, aiming to prevent criminal activities and ensure public order. During the operations, a total of five individuals were arrested for various offenses, including driving under the influence and failing to appear in court. The checks included over 400 vehicles and 600 individuals, as well as 23 checks on premises. Traffic checks resulted in 121 reports for traffic violations, while 64 alcohol tests resulted in one report. Additionally, three vehicles were impounded as part of the investigation of traffic offenses. Police emphasize that these operations are part of a broader and ongoing preventive plan implemented in all provinces. The aim of the plan is to enhance the sense of security of citizens through increased police presence, targeted checks, and immediate operational action. The operations will continue with undiminished intensity.
