University of Cyprus Student Elections Suspended After Allegations of Vote Rigging

Student elections at the University of Cyprus were suspended shortly before completion due to allegations of vote rigging against the Protοporia student faction, which is affiliated with the DISY party. There were also reports of incidents of violence between students. The ballot boxes have been sealed and are under guard by all factions, while the possibility of resorting to justice remains open. The Progressive student faction, affiliated with AKEL, claims that a member of Protοporia attempted to vote with more than one ballot, which caused a strong reaction from the members of the Electoral Committee and led to the suspension of the process.
