90% of Doctors Face Disruptions with Cyprus Health System IT System

A survey by the Pan Cypriot Medical Association (PIMS) reveals that 91% of doctors experience disruptions or unavailability of the Information System of the General Health System (GHS). These disruptions, typically lasting 1-4 hours and occurring weekly or even daily, cause delays, patient accumulation, and increased workload for doctors. The survey also highlights issues with system performance, difficulties in using medical protocols, and the need for immediate resolution of technical problems. Despite some positive evaluations regarding system usability, the majority of doctors are calling for substantial improvements.
