Owner of Souvlaki Restaurant Shot in Agios Dimitrios, Son Also Injured

An armed attack took place in Agios Dimitrios early Monday morning, injuring a 70-year-old souvlaki restaurant owner and his 39-year-old son. Three perpetrators opened fire on the restaurant on Agoniston Polytechniou Street around 2:40 am. The 70-year-old was shot in the leg, while his son sustained injuries to the thigh and shin. The perpetrators fled the scene in a car in an unknown direction, and police collected 4 shell casings from the area. The investigation into the case has been assigned to the Extortion Prosecution Team, also known as the "Greek FBI." Police are treating the incident as a criminal act and are searching for the perpetrators' motives.
