Outcry over Inclusion of 'MP' Accused of Fake Degree in Delegation to European Parliament

The inclusion of 'MP' Emrah Yeşilırmak, who is accused of having a fake degree, in the Turkish Cypriot delegation to the European Parliament has sparked strong reactions. The president of RTK, Sıla Usar İncirli, and the president of KEK, İzret İzcan, criticized the decision of the National Unity Party (KUE), calling on it to take into account public sensitivities and reconsider the appointment. Charges of fake degrees and corruption are pending against Mr. Yeşilırmak, while the 'police' have requested the lifting of his 'immunity'.
