Trial of Man Accused of Attempted Murder Postponed

The start of the trial of the 22-year-old SYOP, accused of attempted murder of a 47-year-old businessman, has been postponed to May 4th due to the heavy schedule of the Larnaca Permanent Criminal Court. The defendant, who pleaded not guilty to the 9 charges against him, remains in custody. The charges include conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, as well as conspiracy to attempt murder on a later date. SYOP's arrest came after a coordinated police operation, and a pistol, bullets, masks and mobile phones were found in his home. Analysis of mobile phones revealed that the defendant was monitoring the businessman before and after the attempted murder, recording videos and making voice descriptions.
