January rainfall in the free areas of the Republic of Cyprus is at 47% of normal. As of 8:00 AM on January 14th, the average total rainfall amounted to 47.8 millimeters, compared to 102.4 millimeters, which is the normal rainfall for the month. From October 1st, the start of the hydrological year, total rainfall reached 207 millimeters, corresponding to 70% of the normal rainfall. The highest rainfall amounts were recorded at the stations of Pano Panagia (121.6 mm), Platanias (124.1 mm), and Stavros of Psoka (108.1 mm).
