Σε περιτοίχισμα πολυκατοικίας προσέκρουσε το μεσημέρι της Τρίτης οδηγός μικρού λεωφορείου του Δήμου Στροβόλου που κινούνταν στην οδό Περικλέους και μετέφερε ηλικιωμένους επισκέπτες του Πολυδύναμου Κέντρου Στροβόλου στις οικίες τους.
Ο Δήμαρχος Στροβόλου, Σταύρος Σταυρινίδης, ανέφερε στο Philenews ότι από την ενημέρωση που είχε, δεν προκλήθηκε κανένας σοβαρός τραυματισμός, ενώ οι ηλικιωμένοι μεταφέρθηκαν με άλλο όχημα στον προορισμό τους.
Σύμφωνα με την Αστυνομία, το λεωφορείο του Δήμου έχει απομακρυνθεί από το σημείο, ούτως ώστε να αποκατασταθεί άμεσα η διακίνηση των οχημάτων στον κεντρικό δρόμο της οδού Περικλέους, ενώ διερευνώνται τα αίτια από τις αρμόδιες Αρχές.

A bus belonging to the Municipality of Strovolos was involved in an accident on Tuesday afternoon, colliding with the wall of an apartment building on Perikleous Street. The bus was transporting elderly visitors from the Strovolos Multifunctional Center to their homes. According to the Mayor of Strovolos, Stavros Stavrinidis, there were no serious injuries and the elderly were transported to their destination by another vehicle. The Police reported that the bus has been removed from the scene to restore traffic flow. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. The accident caused a temporary disruption to traffic on Perikleous Street, which was quickly restored after the bus was removed. The authorities are investigating all possible causes of the accident, including human error or mechanical failure.
