US VP Visits Armenian Genocide Memorial Amidst New Trade Route Push

US Vice President J.D. Vance visited Armenia and Azerbaijan, promoting a new trade route, TRIPP, following the peace agreement between the two countries. Vance became the first acting US Vice President to visit Armenia, where a cooperation agreement in nuclear energy was signed and a drone sale was announced. The TRIPP corridor aims to connect Central Asia with Europe, bypassing Russia and Iran. Vance’s visit to the Armenian Genocide memorial is seen by some as a message to Turkey.
