An outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease has been confirmed in a cattle unit in Dromolaxia, near the infected zone. According to Sotería Georgiadou, spokesperson for the Veterinary Services, the situation is contained regarding the number of animals that have been culled. Consumers are assured that they can consume animal products without fear, as the disease does not pose a risk to their health.
