Ecologists' Movement Announces Four New Candidates for 2026 Elections

The Ecologists' Movement – Citizens' Cooperation announced four new candidates for the parliamentary elections of 2026. The candidates are Maria Kola, Virginia Christou, Stella Petridou, and Sarah Hussein, representing the provinces of Nicosia and Paphos. Maria Kola, Deputy President of the Movement, has extensive experience in data analysis and has held various leadership positions in youth and environmental sectors. Virginia Christou is a member of the Political Committee of the Ecologists' Movement, while Stella Petridou and Sarah Hussein represent the provinces of Nicosia and Paphos respectively. Stella Petridou has long experience in accounting and internal audit, while Maria Kola has served as the Secretary-General of the Ecological Movement of Cyprus. Stella Petridou, born shortly after the war, has experienced the consequences of displacement and the division of Cyprus. Her professional career includes responsible positions in private companies, specializing in compliance and fraud prevention. Her involvement in public affairs is voluntary. The final list of candidates will be approved by the Pan-Cypriot Conference, after the completion of the procedures of the Provincial Assemblies. These announcements are part of the Ecologists' Movement's preparation for the 2026 parliamentary elections, aiming to strengthen its representation in parliament.
