Greek Cypriot Diver Dies Near 'Zenobia' Wreck

A Greek Cypriot diver died in the sea area of the 'Zenobia' shipwreck on March 7, 2026. The Larnaca Coordination Center for Search and Rescue (KSED) was informed about the diver in danger around 09:40. A vessel of the Port and Maritime Police and an ambulance were immediately mobilized to rescue him. The diver was transported to the General Hospital of Larnaca, where his death was confirmed. The exact circumstances of the death are under investigation, however, the area of the 'Zenobia' wreck is known for its currents and difficult diving conditions.
