Fidan: Iran's Attacks on Gulf Countries a 'Grave Strategic Mistake'

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan strongly criticized Iran's attacks on Gulf countries, labeling them a “grave strategic mistake.” He emphasized that several of the attacked countries worked to prevent war and that their potential use of the “right to response” could lead to an escalation of the conflict, also endangering Turkey. Furthermore, he noted that the attacks are not limited to American bases but also target energy infrastructure and political facilities. Fidan expressed hope that the new leadership in Iran could create an opportunity to prevent further escalation. Turkey is on high alert, with ongoing interdepartmental meetings and presidential briefings, while closely monitoring potential migration flows and assuring the security of its borders.
