Fytiris: Security and Tangible Results Top Priorities of the State

The Minister of Justice and Public Order, Konstantinos Fytiris, stated that the safety of citizens and the achievement of tangible results are the top priorities of the state. This message, he said, is taken very seriously and is being implemented through visits to Police Headquarters and Units, with the aim of direct contact with police officers and understanding their problems. The Minister visited the Police Directorates of Famagusta and Larnaca, as well as the Police Air Operations Unit. During the visits, he discussed working conditions with police officers and listened to their views and suggestions. Mr. Fytiris gave clear instructions to strengthen the police presence on the streets and in neighborhoods, with increased patrols, targeted checks and operations. He also emphasized the importance of proactive policing, especially in areas with high crime rates. The Minister stressed that the operational actions of the Police must focus on prevention and early intervention, in order to deter criminal acts before they occur. The goal, he said, is for citizens to feel safe in their daily lives and to know that the state is functioning and protecting them.
