A 41-year-old man was murdered in Paphos, with his 30-year-old nephew as the main suspect. According to authorities, the motive appears to be trivial. The victim had traveled from Limassol to Paphos with friends to resolve a dispute with the 30-year-old. During the altercation, the alleged perpetrator is said to have initially attacked a friend of the victim with a car and then stabbed the 41-year-old. The victim was taken to hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The 30-year-old was arrested and reportedly confessed to the act. Police are investigating the case and collecting witness statements. Initial reports indicate that the confrontation began when the 41-year-old and his friends located the 30-year-old in the Paphos area. Upon arrival at the scene, police found a damaged car and a 30-year-old man. Shortly after, another vehicle was located with a person injured by a knife, who was transported to the hospital where he died. In addition to the deceased, a 28-year-old with minor injuries was also found in the car and is hospitalized. Police state that the meeting was intended to resolve differences between those involved.
