Snowfall has been recorded in the mountainous regions of Cyprus, reaching 1-2 centimeters, with a possibility of continuation at altitudes above 4,500 feet. Rain is expected from the afternoon onwards, mainly in the west. The weather conditions are expected to worsen tomorrow with a temperature drop of up to 3 degrees and strong winds (6-7 Beaufort) on the west coast. A yellow warning for rain and thunderstorms is in effect until 9:00 PM. The temperature will reach 15 degrees inland and on the coast, and 4 degrees in the mountains. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected overnight, mainly in the west and north, with the possibility of snow in the mountains. The temperature will drop to 6 degrees inland, 10-8 on the coast, and 0 in the mountains, with local frost. The weather will be partly cloudy on Tuesday and mainly clear on Wednesday, with a gradual rise in temperature. The Civil Defence has issued recommendations for self-protection measures against severe weather phenomena.
