“CHOES”: When Marinella Sang Honoring the Heroes of EOKA

The renowned singer Marinella passed away at the age of 87, following a battle with health issues that began with a stroke on stage in September 2024. Marinella was a beloved and established singer for decades. The news of her death caused grief in Cyprus and Greece. Marinella had participated in the musical collection “CHOES” by Giorgos Theofanous, with poetry by Klairi Angelidou, and had given a special presentation of the work at the Imprisoned Memories in 2015.
