6.0 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Off Japan's Coast

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 struck off the coast of the Noda area in eastern Japan. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the earthquake was located in a marine area and the focal depth was 19.3 kilometers. There have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries, however authorities are monitoring the situation.
