Adult Education as a Necessity in the Modern Labor Market

Adult education is emerging as a necessity in the modern labor market due to rapid changes and the need for continuous skills upgrading. Initial education is no longer sufficient to cover the needs of an entire professional life, making lifelong learning a key element of working reality. Digitization and new technologies create new requirements, while traditional professions are changing. The European Union recognizes the importance of lifelong learning and funds retraining and skills upgrading programs. In Cyprus, subsidized programs and initiatives for digital and green skills are being implemented, aiming to strengthen employability and competitiveness.
