Bids for Potiama Marina Project Due in January 2026

Bids for the construction project of the marina in Potiama are expected to be submitted by January 23, 2026, following an extension to allow interested parties to submit questions and receive answers. The evaluation of bids will begin in March 2026, with the selection of suitable bidders and the submission of final proposals for the tender. The negotiation phase is expected in May 2026, with the award of the bid scheduled for late 2026 or early 2027. Construction work is expected to begin in April 2027. The marina will have a capacity of one thousand boats, with port facilities occupying 70-80% and land facilities 20-30%. The terms of the tender provide two alternative development options: the construction of a marina with residential and commercial development, including a hotel complex, or the creation of a cruise ship mooring area, along with residential and commercial development. The lease of the land will be for a period of 55 years and will cover a total area of 166,000 square meters. The president of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, George Mai, emphasized that the implementation of the project is expected to contribute significantly to the achievement of strategic development goals and to the strengthening of the province's economy. The marina will be modern and of high standards.
