C. Christodoulides: Cyprus-Greece Common Approach for Restarting Negotiations Confirmed by President-Mitsotakis

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, and the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, confirmed the common approach of Cyprus and Greece to restart negotiations on the Cyprus issue from the point where they were interrupted in Crans Montana, with the aim of a sustainable and functional solution, with full respect for international law and the European acquis. The discussion took place by telephone and concerned the assessment of the data in view of the upcoming Mitsotakis-Erdogan meeting. The two leaders discussed the latest developments in the Cyprus issue and the need to maintain a firm commitment to International Law and the European acquis. Commitment was confirmed to continue close cooperation and regular coordination at all levels in order to strengthen the effort for progress in the Cyprus issue.
