Cyprus Presidency Councils Postponed Due to Wartime Situation

The Cyprus Presidency has postponed the scheduled European Union Councils due to regional developments and the wartime situation. The Informal Council of Ministers for European Affairs and the Informal Council for Culture have been postponed, while the remaining meetings will be held online or rescheduled. Around 30 police officers who were on duty at the Conference Centre for the needs of the Cyprus Presidency were informed of the cancellation of their detachment and their relocation to other posts. This decision was taken due to the latest developments and the need to redistribute forces. The Cyprus Presidency has advised citizens to locate the nearest shelter through the SafeCY application or by contacting the Civil Defence Operations Control Centre. It is also recommended to prepare an 'Emergency Backpack' with essential items such as water, food and medicine.
