DIKO MP Dismisses Talk of Party Leaving Government

DIKO MP Chrysís Pantelídis stated that there is no question of the party leaving the government, describing the relationship between the two as 'productive' rather than 'exemplary'. He mentioned that many of the government's program goals have been achieved, but admitted that there are disagreements on certain issues, such as the electricity interconnection. Mr. Pantelídis expressed his surprise at how there could be strong international interest in the project while the Minister of Finance describes it as unsustainable. When asked about the issue of the Minister of Labor's statements against the DIKO President, he replied that it is considered closed, although the way he positioned himself was inappropriate.
