EU: 72 Dangerous Products Identified in the Market

A total of 72 products posing risks to consumer health and safety were identified in the European Union market during the week commencing January 12, 2026. These products have been notified through the Safety Gate system. The Consumer Protection Service (CPS) urges economic operators to immediately notify the competent authorities if they possess or have placed these products on the market. Consumers are advised to stop using the products, return them to the store, and inform the relevant authorities. In Cyprus, the products have been distributed to the respective government departments for inspection. Consumers can find more information on the Safety Gate website, which is also available in Greek.
