Explosion at a Residence in Agios Tychonas: Russian Owner to be Questioned

Investigations are underway by the Limassol Police regarding an explosion that occurred at a residence in Agios Tychonas in the early hours of January 9th. The 39-year-old Russian owner of the property is expected to give a statement to the Police. According to initial findings, the explosion was caused by a firecracker thrown along with incendiary material (flammable liquid) in an open area next to the house. The owner and his wife reside in the property. The scene has been placed under police guard, and footage from closed-circuit television cameras in the area is being examined to identify the perpetrator. Authorities are also investigating the possibility that the explosion is linked to a similar incident that occurred at the offices of a car loan company the previous day.
