Extensive Police Checks – 10 Arrests for Multiple Offenses

The Cyprus Police conducted extensive checks across the island last night, aiming to prevent criminal activity and enhance public safety. During the checks, ten individuals were arrested for various offenses, including theft and drug possession. 650 vehicles and 849 individuals were checked, while 40 premises were inspected, resulting in 11 complaints. Simultaneously, 282 traffic violations were reported, including 160 for speeding and 27 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, nine drivers tested positive for drugs, and 15 vehicles were impounded. Police operations continue with increased presence and targeted controls.
