Farmers' Protests Continue Despite Meeting with Mitsotakis

Farmers' protests continue across Greece despite a meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Mansion. The meeting lasted over three hours, and while dialogue took place and some new proposals were accepted (such as expanding eligibility for low-price electricity), over 60 roadblocks remain and protests continue. Mr. Mitsotakis accused a "partisan minority" of blackmailing society and stated that he will not tolerate blackmail or illegality. Farmers have scheduled a nationwide meeting in Palama, Karditsa, and some are planning to descend on Athens with tractors for a rally.
