A 29-year-old man has been arrested in Paphos for the stabbing of his 41-year-old uncle during a meeting arranged to resolve disputes stemming from videos posted on TikTok. The 29-year-old allegedly attacked his uncle with a knife in the abdominal area, also injuring a 30-year-old man. The 41-year-old died from his injuries in hospital, while the 30-year-old remains hospitalized in non-life-threatening condition. According to police, the 29-year-old confessed to the act, explaining that the stabbing was the result of their disagreements. The meeting was arranged following a series of arguments and live statements on social media. An autopsy on the victim's body will be performed tomorrow by forensic doctor Nikolaos Charalambous. Just hours later, another attempted murder occurred in Tsersefanos, where a 34-year-old man was attacked with a knife by a 40-year-old Albanian man. The 40-year-old, who is reportedly the ex-husband of the 34-year-old victim's partner, entered the victim's home through an unlocked balcony door and seriously injured him. The 34-year-old was initially taken to Larnaca Hospital and then to Nicosia General Hospital due to the severity of his injuries. The 40-year-old was arrested and is expected to appear in court tomorrow. Both incidents are under investigation by the police.
