Finland: Russian Ship Seized for Damaging Undersea Cable

Finnish authorities have detained a cargo ship, the Fitburg, sailing under the flag of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, on suspicion of causing damage to undersea cables in the Baltic Sea. The boarding and arrest of the 14 crew members were carried out by the Finnish police. The ship had departed from Saint Petersburg, Russia, and was heading to Haifa, Israel. The case is under investigation, and authorities are trying to determine the extent of the damage to the undersea cables.
