Fire at EAC Meter Room in Pyla Caused by Short Circuit

A fire broke out last night in a meter and transformer room of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) in Pyla, causing extensive damage to the room and affecting the exterior paint of the building. The Fire Service responded with two vehicles and managed to control the fire. The fire was caused by a short circuit, and the EAC disconnected the electricity supply to the area.
