Flu Deaths in Cyprus Reach 12 – “The Flu Still Dominates”

The number of deaths due to the flu in Cyprus has reached 12, according to the Ministry of Health. Five additional deaths were reported recently, bringing the total number since the start of flu activity in December to 12. The flu remains the dominant viral infection, while the coronavirus appears with lower frequency. Experts recommend that people experiencing symptoms should not dismiss the possibility of the flu even if the first test is negative, as a repeat test may be necessary. The need to protect vulnerable populations, such as the elderly, is emphasized.
