France Plans Social Media Ban for Children Under 15

France is planning to ban access to social media for children under 15 years old by next September, as part of an effort to protect them from the risks of excessive digital use. The initiative is supported by President Macron and follows a similar ban already imposed in Australia for children under 16. The government states that children are exposed to inappropriate content, cyberbullying, and sleep disturbances. Additionally, a ban on mobile phone use in middle and high schools is being promoted.
