Greece Takes the Helm at Eurogroup Amidst Global Challenges

Kyriakos Pierrakakis has assumed the Presidency of the Eurogroup, with Thanis Petralias representing Greece. The assumption of the Presidency coincides with significant changes in the Eurogroup, such as the participation of 21 Finance Ministers due to Bulgaria's accession. Simultaneously, Europe faces challenges from the policies of Trump and Putin, as well as from China, requiring a restructuring. Greece will rely on its economic success story and Pierrakakis' digital experience to manage the Presidency's agenda, which includes issues such as the geopolitical crisis, defense, and fiscal policy.
