Greek Defense Industry Faces 2026 Test of Endurance with Drone Trials

The Hellenic Center for Defense Innovation (ELKAK) is opening military exercises to Greek companies, allowing them to test their systems in real-world conditions alongside the Armed Forces. This initiative marks a transition from simply demonstrating technology to evaluating operational maturity and real military value. Four rounds of trials are scheduled for 2026, focusing on surveillance, electronic warfare, and support for land forces. Companies such as ALTUS-LSA, Velos Rotors, Delian Alliance Industries, SAS Technology, Ucandrone, SOTIRIA Technology, and NYX Production, as well as the Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI), have expressed interest. The trials will serve as a selection mechanism, highlighting solutions that can move from the prototype stage to integration into the Armed Forces.
