A 71-year-old man was saved from cardiac arrest thanks to the quick response of passersby and the persistence of his dog, a five-year-old Labrador named Beau. The man collapsed while walking on Sandbanks beach in Dorset, and Beau began jumping on him, barking, and running around nervously, attracting the attention of Claire Dashwood and her partner, Paul Harold. The couple started CPR, and were later assisted by two off-duty doctors. Paramedics used a defibrillator three times before the man showed signs of life. After hospitalization, the 71-year-old has fully recovered and says he owes his life to his loyal companion.
