Internet access in Iran remains severely restricted, with only a slight increase in connectivity after 200 hours of disruption, linked to mass protests against the government. According to Netblocks, overall connectivity is just around 2% of normal levels, and a full restoration is not expected soon. Human rights organizations report that the internet shutdown was intended to conceal the suppression of protests, in which at least 3,428 people have been killed.
