KΕPA Paralimni Supports 973 Needy Families – Demand Increased This Year

The Agios Christoforos Center for Offering and Love (KΕPA) in Paralimni has supported 973 needy families since the beginning of the year, showing an increased demand compared to previous years. This increase is attributed to the economic hardship affecting many families, especially those working in the tourism sector. KΕPA provided packages of food, baby items, clothing, and footwear, as well as daily home delivery of meals to approximately 150 people. The Center's assistance is particularly important during the off-season, when unemployment rises. The assistant director of the Center, Kiki Siga, emphasized that KΕPA's doors are always open to those in need, citing the case of a young man who lost his job and became homeless, but managed to get back on his feet with the Center's help. The Center's income comes mainly from citizen contributions, such as donations in memory of loved ones or from events such as baptisms and weddings. In addition, volunteers prepare food that is sold, and companies offer free products. The Center was founded in 1996 and continues to expand its charitable work.
