Marginal Annual Increase in Housing Price Index in Q3 2025

The Housing Price Index (HPI) recorded a marginal annual increase of 0.1% in the third quarter of 2025, according to preliminary estimates by the Statistical Service. Despite the annual increase, a quarterly decrease of 0.3% was observed compared to the second quarter of 2025, indicating market stabilization. The index for new housing units saw a slight decline, from 164.60 units in the second quarter to 164.28 units in the third quarter. Similarly, the index for existing housing units decreased from 135.29 units to 134.75 units. These figures show limited volatility in housing prices, with small changes on both an annual and quarterly basis. The housing market appears to have entered a stabilization phase after a period of increased demand and prices. The slight annual increase is likely due to factors such as limited supply of new homes and sustained demand in certain areas. However, the quarterly decrease suggests that buyers are becoming more cautious and expect further stabilization or even price reductions.
