MFA expresses 'deep concern' over attacks on Christians in Syria
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed 'deep concern' over reported attacks against Christians in the Hama and Homs governorates of neighboring Syria. Taking note of the investigation announced, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls for its rapid conclusion and for perpetrators to be held accountable. It is emphasized that the rights and security of all Syrians, regardless of religion or ethnicity, must be fully protected. Cyprus reaffirms that peaceful inclusion and an inclusive transition are essential for a united Syria, for regional stability and for cooperation with the EU.
