Mount Etna Erupts Again, Lava Flows in Uninhabited Area

Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, is experiencing a new phase of eruptive activity. The eruption, which began on New Year's Day, is spewing lava flows into an uninhabited area, without currently threatening nearby villages. Volcanologists are closely monitoring the situation, while the start of the eruption was not immediately noticeable due to dense cloud cover. Vents of the volcano are ejecting fragments of molten lava to heights of tens of meters.
