New Prosecution Witnesses in Real Estate Agent Trial for Property Encroachment

During the trial of German real estate agent Eva Isabella Kiunzel, who is accused of encroaching on Greek Cypriot properties, the defense argued that the defendant had no way of knowing the ownership status of the properties she was promoting. The defendant's lawyer, Sotiris Argyrou, accused the investigating authorities of political motives and lack of impartiality in the investigation, claiming that advertisements for the properties in international magazines did not mention the distinction between Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot ownership. Investigator Dimitra Stavrou refuted the claims, emphasizing that the investigation is objective and concerns criminal offenses. The defense also criticized the fact that the investigating authorities did not investigate the defendant's report regarding the lack of information in the advertisements. The court has scheduled new hearings for next week, where new prosecution witnesses will be examined.
