New Scam with Fake Messages Impersonating the GESY

Recently, the Cybercrime Sub-Directorate has received numerous reports of suspicious messages (SMS) impersonating the GESY (Cyprus Health Services Administration). These messages falsely claim that there is a problem with the connection to the GESY electronic portal and lead users to a malicious link that steals passwords (phishing). The Cybercrime Sub-Directorate warns the public to be particularly careful and not respond to such messages, not to reveal personal information and passwords, and to verify the authenticity of messages requesting passwords. If passwords are entered on a suspicious link, it is recommended to change the password immediately and secure the account.
