OSAK Strongly Opposes Postponement of National Ambulance Authority Discussion

OSAK expresses strong opposition to the request by OKYPY to the Parliament for a postponement of the discussion on the bill for the establishment of the National Ambulance Authority. OSAK expresses surprise and concern regarding OKYPY's stance, emphasizing that the Authority is necessary to fill the gap in emergency and pre-hospital care. It recalls that the ambulance service was temporarily transferred to OKYPY with a commitment to establish an Independent Ambulance Authority within two years, which has not happened. OSAK accuses OKYPY of distorting the service and excluding the private sector from the transport of non-emergency cases. It also criticizes the decision to create a National Ambulance Authority under the Ministry of Health, considering it a step backward. Finally, it opposes OKYPY's attempt to develop its own plan for the ambulance service, emphasizing that it had six years to do so.
