Pame Express to Continue Despite Driver Shortages, CPT in Talks with Transport Ministry

Cyprus Public Transport (CPT) has announced that it will continue to provide the Pame Express service, despite severe driver shortages, while it is in consultation with the Ministry of Transport to find long-term solutions. The company accepted the Ministry's invitation for a high-priority meeting, aimed at addressing the driver shortage and discussing the company's overall operations. CPT states that maintaining the service is a sign of goodwill and commitment to cooperation with the state, however, it emphasizes that the situation cannot last for a long time. It points out that its main goal remains to reduce traffic congestion and improve the quality of life in Nicosia, and expresses optimism for the long-term success of the project with the support of the Ministry through legislative measures and infrastructure improvements, such as dedicated bus lanes. The company apologizes for any inconvenience caused to passengers and assures that the continuation of the Pame Express service is a demonstration of its commitment to the community and the public interest.
