Police Union Raises Concerns Over New Work Schedule – DISY Offers Support

The Cyprus Police Association (CPA) has expressed strong concern over the Chief of Police's decision to change police officers' work schedules. In a meeting with the President of DISY, Annita Dimitriou, and party MPs, the CPA analyzed the negative impact of the decision on police officers' labor rights, welfare, and the effectiveness of the Police. DISY expressed full support for the police officers and pledged to support the issue in the House Legal Committee. The President of DISY and the MPs acknowledged the seriousness of the issue and expressed concern about the process followed, emphasizing that the operational capacity of the Police cannot be strengthened through unilateral decisions.
