Record Tourism Revenue of €3.69 Billion in Cyprus for 2025

Tourism revenue in Cyprus reached a record high of €3.69 billion in 2025, according to data from the Statistical Service of Cyprus. This increase, amounting to €486.7 million compared to 2024, confirms the strong recovery of the tourism sector. In total, revenue for the period January-December 2025 amounted to €3,696.1 million, marking a 15.2% year-on-year increase. The positive trend continued in December 2025, with revenue reaching €96.7 million, up 11.3% compared to December 2024. However, a slight decrease was observed in the average per capita expenditure, which amounted to €616.29 in December 2025, compared to €653.27 in December 2024. Israeli tourists accounted for the largest market in December 2025, with a 19.1% share of the total, and spent an average of €145.03 per day. They were followed by British tourists (19.0%), with an average daily expenditure of €65.39, and Polish tourists (11.3%), with an average daily expenditure of €85.69. The increase in tourism revenue is a significant boost for the Cypriot economy, while the diversification of tourist source markets contributes to reducing dependence on specific countries and strengthening the resilience of the tourism sector.
