Return of Israelis to the Country: 20,000 Returned - 120,000 Still Abroad

More than 20,000 Israelis have returned to their country after the air strikes on Iran, while approximately 120,000 others are trying to return, according to the Israeli Ministry of Transport. Israel's airspace has begun to reopen gradually, allowing a limited number of flights to land at Ben Gurion Airport. The airspace had been closed on Saturday due to the Israeli-American attacks on Iran and Iran's missile attacks on Israel, resulting in tens of thousands of passengers stranded abroad. The repatriation operation is expected to take 7-10 days. Approximately 300,000 Israelis had departed for abroad in the last three months, and airlines report that tens of thousands of passengers wish to return. Returns are mainly taking place by land, from the Eilat resort, while repatriation flights are being carried out from Europe to Egypt and Jordan. Transport Minister Miri Regev assured that every effort is being made to ensure the safe return of Israelis, and that flights to Tel Aviv are gradually increasing, limited to 50 passengers per flight due to ongoing missile threats.
