Strong 6.8 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Off Indonesia

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 struck off the coast of the Talaud Islands in Indonesia today. The seismic activity was recorded by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). The earthquake's epicenter was located in a marine area, with a focal depth of 77 kilometers. Authorities have not immediately reported any damage or injuries, however, the region is seismically active and there is a possibility of aftershocks. The GFZ is monitoring the situation and assessing the risk of a tsunami.
