Target to Remove Artificial Colors from Cereal

American retail chain Target has announced it will only sell cereals without synthetic dyes, following a broader trend in the retail industry. The company collaborated with authorities to reformulate products, and the decision applies to both physical stores and online sales. This move follows similar announcements from major food producers such as PepsiCo, Campbell’s, and Conagra Brands, who are reducing the use of artificial colors, responding to the “Make America Healthy Again” initiative. Target emphasizes that it is responding to growing consumer demand for healthier food choices and will continue to explore ways to improve product ingredients. Walmart has also made a similar decision, planning to remove synthetic dyes from its private label products by January 2027.
